This is a photo diary of artist Paul Neale. It consists of an ongoing series of images based on his current concerns of image manipulation, the importance of line, the state of the world as seen through the media, advertising images as well as aspects of street photography.

It's a new day.
Blimey, it is a major piss off when things go wrong, computers, the lighting, cameras and so on. I have been reading another Complete Guide to Photography, this time one written by Ian Farrell, another Cambridge resident. Its advantage is that it is recent, published in 2011. Actually I have found it quite helpful in one or two technical details.
Otherwise it is shaping up to be a typical non teaching day. I have a stack of older, more damaged images to get through and a whole set of new images to adapt. The last lot were technically inept due to lighting problems.
