Paul Neale was born when the Cold War was hot. He went on to do a B.A(hons) in Illustration during the late 1970's. After a few years as a graphic designer and illustrator he moved to Portugal to teach English as a Foreign Language. While there he exhibited his drawings in in some solo shows in Porto and participated in various biennals in Portugal and the U.K.
He returned to the U.K in the mid 90's to do an M.A in Graphic Fine Art at the Kent Institute of Art and Design and after completion went back to Portugal for another few years of the same.
He eventually left Portugal and after some rest and recouperation in the U.K, ended up in Barcelona where he taught, wrote and worked as an artist.
The 21st Century found him living in Cambridge U.K.
Currently he works as a teacher and artist and keeps a blog of his own work and sometimes writes about the work of other artists, especially those associated with the arts organisation Aid and Abet.
He is responsible for a 'zine called Airburst, which comes out sporadically. Airburst is a 'zine with a minimum of text. Instead it features Neale's own work in 'zine form. He is not unopposed to collaboration with other artists/photographers.
